Seven days a week, year-round, subject to availability.
Weather: The weather along the South African East Coast is characterized by a temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters. During the summer months, which typically span from December to February, temperatures often range from 25 to 35 degrees Celsius (77 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit). Winters, from June to August, are generally mild, with temperatures ranging between 10 to 20 degrees Celsius (50 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit). The region experiences occasional rainfall throughout the year, with the wettest months usually occurring between November and March. Coastal areas may have a more moderate climate due to the influence of the ocean. Overall, the East Coast offers a pleasant climate for year-round exploration and outdoor activities.
Tour overview:
Day 1
Depart from Cape Town, making a delightful stop for road trip snacks along the way. Journey to Wilderness, where your afternoon will be filled with a scenic paddle up the Touws River. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner at your accommodation.
Day 2
Embark on a hike along the Half-Collared Kingfisher Trail, followed by a satisfying lunch. Continue your adventure with a hike to Arch Rock before returning to your accommodation for a delightful dinner.
Day 3
Rise early for a captivating hike at Robberg Nature Reserve. Drive up to Storms River for the Suspension Bridge and the first day of the Otter Trail hike. Conclude your day by heading to your accommodation in Tsitsikamma.
Day 4
Depart early and drive to J-Bay to admire the famous surf break and explore the town. Afterward, proceed to lunch and then head to your accommodation for a relaxing night and dinner.
Day 5
Drive through Addo Elephant Park, exit through the eastern gate, and continue your journey on the road toward Cintsa.
Day 6
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before hitting the road. Drive up to Coffee Bay, check into your accommodation, and then embark on a scenic drive to view the iconic Hole in the Wall in the Transkei.
Day 7
Wake up in Coffee Bay and go for a beautiful morning walk with the beach cows. Afterwards, begin the journey back home, making a stop in St Francis for the night.
Day 8
Wake up early and embark on the journey back to Cape Town, making snack stops along the way.
